Coventry Artists’ Co-operative aims to increase public access to, and awareness of, Coventry’s contemporary visual arts scene. It provides affordable studio spaces, and promotes exhibitions and events featuring members’ work. The Co-op is based in the centre of Coventry, and shares its premises, Artspace, with its Community Arts sister company, Arts Exchange.

Artspace studios are rented by artists practicing in a variety of different art forms ranging from digital media and installation work to public art sculpture, ceramics, textiles and painting.

Coventry Artists’ Co-operative aims are:

  • To increase awareness of contemporary visual arts practice
  • To contribute to a vibrant city-wide artistic community and the wider cultural profile of Coventry
  • To improve the profile of both individual artists practice and group activities
  • To enable members to exhibit and collaborate together to develop and promote high quality professional practice
  • To support individual artists through group crits, skill sharing, collaboration and social events
  • To promote high quality work at a national and international level by emerging and established artists
  • To provide affordable space for artists to work
